Our warm and friendly dance studio offers everything you need to learn Ballroom and Latin dancing at your pace. All classes cover a range of ballroom dances including the Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot and Tango as well as popular Latin dances including the Cha, Cha, Cha, the Rhumba, Samba, and the Jive. We also offer some Modern Sequence dance teaching. This will ensure that if you are going out for an evening of social dancing, you will be able to get up and dance to most of the music/dances played at a typical social event. If you don’t have a Partner for the classes, you will always be welcomed and there will be someone to dance with you.
Intermediates (Monday 8pm - 10pm)
We would all like to think of ourselves as the next Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire and these classes offer a friendly, fun learning environment to get you on the right path. These classes are suitable for those with some dance experience who feel they have mastered the basics and would now like some slightly more challenging routines in their dancing. There will be a mix of international oookballroom and latin tuition.
Complete Beginners (bookings only Wednesday 7 - 8pm)
For complete beginners, our L1 beginners class would be the ideal place to start. You will be in a relaxed, small group of other people who are as keen, but maybe as nervous as yourself. We will make you feel welcome and together we will build up your confidence and your skill in learning to dance. Contact us now to register for our next intake of complete beginners.
Improvers (Wednesday 8pm - 10pm)
This class leads on from the complete beginners and is an excellent step before moving up to Improvers. It will offer you some slightly more challenging routines and ensure you feel comfortable and competent to go out dancing socially.
Sequence Dancing (Tuesday 7-9pm)
Essential skill at any Social Dance and great fun too! If you already have basic ballroom and Latin dance experience come from 7 - 8pm to learn a selection of easier modern sequence dances, such as Rhumba No.1, Square Tango, Cindy Swing, Waltz Catherine, Balmoral Blues, Saunter Together etc commonly in use today. If you are a more experienced social dancer with intermediate ballroom and Latin skills, join us from 8-9pm to learned dances such as the Argentine Stroll, Queen of Hearts Rhumba, Rio Bachata, Mayfair Quickstep, Sally Ann Cha Cha, Mambo Magic, Sweet Bay Salsa to name but a few!
